Lindsay Lohan In Talks To Play Elizabeth Taylor

Will Lindsay Lohan play one of the big screen’s most iconic leading ladies on the small screen?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the headline-making actress is in early talks to portray the late Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime biopic “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.”.
The film will chronicle the romance between Taylor and Richard Burton, to whom she was married twice, from 1964 to 1974 and again from 1975 to 1976.
The project, helmed by producer Larry Thompson, has reportedly been in development since May.
Details about the storyline of the Taylor TV movie have yet to be revealed.

Following a string of recent legal woes, the 25-year-old appeared in the January/February issue of Playboy. She was last seen on the big screen in “Machete” in 2010 and on the small screen in 2009′s TV movie “Labor Pains.”
A rep for Lifetime had no comment when contacted by Access Hollywood on Tuesday.

Michael Lohan lucky to be alive

Michael Lohan believes he is lucky to be alive.

The father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan – who was rushed to hospital last month after he collapsed during an Alcoholic’s Anonymous meeting – revealed he has managed to cheat death five times and claimed God must have big plans for him to keep him alive.

Michael – who has recently been admitted to A New Day treatment facility in Florida – told RadarOnline.com: “I don’t know what God has in store for me, but it must be BIG. I should have been dead five times already.

“It’s by far the best treatment facility I have ever worked with or have been to. A little while longer and the blood clot would have taken me out.

“The whole thing has made me look at life differently and brought me and my entire family closer, including Lindsay.”

After Michael was taken to hospital last month, a source said: “Michael started to feel light headed during his meeting so he walked outside, and that’s when he collapsed.

“He was taken in an ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital where doctors found another blood clot in his lung.”

He also had to be rushed back to hospital just hours after his heart surgery in early December when he was found to have a bacterial infection.

Lindsay reportedly rethinks security after Jan. 1 incident

Lindsay Lohan plans to beef up security at her Venice Beach home after a suspected trespasser landed at her doorstep, according to a news report.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the actress’ home on New Year’s Day. Lohan told police an older man had knocked on her door, asking to speak with her, KTLA-TV reported.

She asked him to leave. When he did not, she called police. The man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, according to KTLA.

Lohan now is reportedly looking to hire a bodyguard and to install new surveillance cameras, the TV station reported.

Lindsay Lohan’s alleged trespasser arrested

A bit of good news for Lindsay Lohan, whose new year didn’t start off so happily.
A man who allegedly came to the door of her Venice Beach, Calif., home on Sunday because he wanted to talk to the star, but refused to leave the premises when Lohan asked him to go away, has been arrested.
The troubled actress had called police to report the incident.
The LAPD confirmed to E! News that 64-year-old Lonnie Short was taken into custody for trespassing outside a home in Venice Beach. However, authorities could not confirm it was Lohan’s home due to their policy of not giving out information about victims.
According to Short’s booking sheet, the arrest took place at 7:25 p.m. on Sunday and he is being held on $1,000 bail.
Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, declined to comment.

Lindsay Lohan turned down New Year’s Eve offers

Lindsay Lohan may have stripped down for Playboy for a reported $1 million, but the actress has said no to several offers to host high-paying New Year’s Eve bashes, reports say.

Sources close to the actress tell TMZ that Lohan was offered a slew of opportunities to make money merely for her presence as 2012 is rung in Saturday night. But Lohan turned each one down, in an effort to turn around her party girl image, says the source.

After dancing up a storm last week at her siblings’ birthday party in New York, and skipping a schedule taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” shortly after having her purse go missing at a house party in Hawaii, Lohan reportedly thinks it is important to keep a low profile for New Year’s Eve.

Apparently, rather than hosting an event, Lohan is opting to spend New Year’s Eve at home with just a few close friends, perhaps going out to dinner beforehand.

Lindsay celebrates Aliana’s birthday

Now that she’s 18 years old, Lindsay Lohan’s model sister, Ali, would like to be called by her full name, Aliana Lohan.

Multiple sources confirm to Life & Style she prefers the name Aliana, because it sounds more mature.

And with her passage into adulthood, the Lohan family (sans father Michael) feted Aliana with a birthday celebration at Beaumarchais restaurant in NYC on Dec. 21.

Lindsay, along with a group of her friends, mom, Dina, and younger brothers Cody and Michael Jr. — who was celebrating his 24th birthday — ordered from a prix fixe menu that included tuna tartare and truffle gnocchi.

“It’s clear Lindsay and Michael Jr. are very close. They were talking a lot and Michael had his arm around her at one point. She seemed to be confiding in him,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. She also went outside to smoke cigarettes with her mom at one point.

But a celebration wouldn’t be much without champagne!

Later on in the evening, the Playboy cover girl requested just that.

“Lindsay ordered a bunch of glasses of champagne for the table and switched to drinking that,” the eyewitness tells Life & Style.

During the big bash, Lindsay and Aliana snapped photos together on Lindsay’s camera before Lindsay got up to ask the restaurant staff to prepare a cake and champagne sparklers for the table. “The staff brought out cake and two brownie sundaes while everyone sang,” the eyewitness tells Life & Style. “Lindsay toasted with champagne.”

Although Aliana is super svelte, she doesn’t seem to be watching what she eats. Adds the eyewitness, “She had a lot of bread, a big salad and a bunch of her brownie sundae.”

Lohan fronts jeans campaign

Lindsay Lohan has landed a new modelling gig following her risque Playboy shoot as the new face of a top denim line.

The Mean Girls star’s spread for Hugh Hefner’s magazine was leaked online earlier this month, and the images proved so popular the January/February edition was rush-released.

Now fans of Lohan can see the actress in another saucy shoot – she has posed for a series of provocative campaign pictures for Jag Jeans.

A statement from the company reads, “As Jag Jeans’ newest endorser, Lindsay embodies the strength and fearlessness of the woman of today. She is unafraid to be who she is. She is fierce yet exudes feminine grace.

“Lindsay was so involved with the shoot that she would go as far as adjusting items on the set. She even requested scissors so she could personally fray the edges of her black crepe blouse because she believed it would look better that way.”

Hef says Lindsay Lohan issue is breaking sales records

The Lindsay Lohan issue of Playboy magazine seems to be a hit. Hugh Hefner tweeted on Sunday that “The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records.” Though Playboy isn’t releasing official numbers yet, a spokesperson for the magazine said the issue is doing “very well.”

A spokesperson for Hudson News, one of the countries largest chains of newsstands, also didn’t have figures yet, but concurred that “we have noticed excitement in the stores about this issue … so we assume that the issue will do very well.”

But will it be a record-breaker? That would be quite a feat, since Playboy sold around 7 million copies per month back in its heydays of the early 1970s. Today, its circulation is closer to 1.5 million. But it’s still feasible to consider that Lohan’s issue might rival other popular Playboys featuring celebrity photo spreads, like the approximately 4 million copies of the 1995 issue that featured Farrah Fawcett. If Lohan does really break Playboy‘s sales records, Hefner might want to think about cutting another million-dollar check for Ms. Lohan.
