Could Megan Fox Steal Lindsay’s Role as Elizabeth Taylor?

They played nemeses in 2004′s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and now it appears as if Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox are going head-to-head in real life.

According to E! News, both Lohan, 25, and Fox, 25, are in talks to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s Liz and Dick. (Taylor died of congestive heart failure at age 79 in March 2011.)

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox,” executive producer Larry Thompson tells the site.

“It’s a very serious selection,” Thompson adds. “It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”

Fox may have an edge over Lohan, as the Mean Girls star is still on probation until the end of March — provided she complies with the terms of her sentencing.

Liz and Dick will begin shooting in Canada sometime this spring.

Lindsay Lohan ‘ready to sign for Taylor role’

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in the final stages of signing a deal to play Hollywood legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor.

The troubled actress has been rumoured to be considered for the lead role in Lifetime network’s Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.

The movie will focus on the iconic star’s tumultuous romantic relationship with Richard Burton, whom she married and divorced twice.

According to US website TMZ, the 25-year-old star is looking to sign a contract early next week. Lindsay is said to be planning to complete her community service earlier than required to clear her schedule for when filming begins.

The starlet has so far attended 12 morgue visits and four psychotherapy sessions but reportedly has 17 further shifts and six counselling appointments to complete.

Lindsay is due to appear in court today for a hearing to assess her probation progress. If she doesn’t comply with the conditions of her sentence, she could face 270 days in prison.

However, if she finishes her probation as ordered, the actress could be lifted off the legal punishment by the end of March.

Here it is! Lindsay Lohan’s, er, hotly anticipated campaign for German label Philipp Plein just dropped. You’ll recall that back in September during Milan’s fashion week, she was snapped behind-the-scenes at the campaign shoot at Lake Como. Philipp Plein had no shortage of superlatives for Lohan and the collection. Here’s a sampling: “magnetic charm,” “irresistibly sexy,” “refined and transgressive.” What is weirdest about all this is that in the release, which is in sort of choppy English, it states: “Not a chance meeting, since Lindsay Lohan has known and loved the young German designer’s collection for some time.” The NY Post had reported back in September that she never heard of the line prior to getting the call to be its face. But whatever. She knows it now.

Since then, of course, LiLo has staged herself a bit of a comeback: a possible stint as Liz Taylor, that Playboy shoot, Jag Jeans campaign, FCUK fragrance campaign, and a random shot on the floor of a Miu Miu dressing room for Purple Diary. But let’s hope her paychecks from those various gigs can cover her latest problem: a big tax bill. The New York Daily News is reporting that she owes about $93,000 in back taxes from 2009.

Uncle Sam wants Lindsay Lohan to pay her tax bill

Lindsay Lohan has encountered — and been responsible for — many taxing situations. And now the IRS has another one for her.

According to TMZ, the IRS has filed a lien against the “Just My Luck” actress for $93,701.57, claiming that she never paid her income tax for 2009.

Should Lohan fail to make good on the debt, the IRS could go after her possessions — property, vehicles, bank accounts — in an effort to collect.

It’s unclear how Lohan managed to rack up a $93,000 tax bill in 2009 — according to the 25-year-old’s IMDB page, her acting work that year was limited to “Labor Pains,” which was originally intended for theatrical release, but ended up airing on ABC Family. (The film did end up running in theaters in scattered foreign countries.)

The tax lien comes at a time when Lohan is taking pains to pay her other debt to society, performing community service and attending therapy sessions per a judge’s orders, after violating her probation.

Luckily for Lohan, she’s received a cash infusion of late, in the form of the nearly $1 million she received to pose nude for Playboy.

A spokesperson for the IRS declined comment to TheWrap. Lohan’s spokesperson also offered no comment, telling TheWrap, “Lindsay’s personal financial situation is her business and no one else’s.”

Lindsay Lohan In Talks To Play Elizabeth Taylor

Will Lindsay Lohan play one of the big screen’s most iconic leading ladies on the small screen?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the headline-making actress is in early talks to portray the late Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime biopic “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.”.
The film will chronicle the romance between Taylor and Richard Burton, to whom she was married twice, from 1964 to 1974 and again from 1975 to 1976.
The project, helmed by producer Larry Thompson, has reportedly been in development since May.
Details about the storyline of the Taylor TV movie have yet to be revealed.

Michael Lohan believes he is lucky to be alive.

The father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan – who was rushed to hospital last month after he collapsed during an Alcoholic’s Anonymous meeting – revealed he has managed to cheat death five times and claimed God must have big plans for him to keep him alive.

Michael – who has recently been admitted to A New Day treatment facility in Florida – told RadarOnline.com: “I don’t know what God has in store for me, but it must be BIG. I should have been dead five times already.

“It’s by far the best treatment facility I have ever worked with or have been to. A little while longer and the blood clot would have taken me out.

“The whole thing has made me look at life differently and brought me and my entire family closer, including Lindsay.”

After Michael was taken to hospital last month, a source said: “Michael started to feel light headed during his meeting so he walked outside, and that’s when he collapsed.

“He was taken in an ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital where doctors found another blood clot in his lung.”

He also had to be rushed back to hospital just hours after his heart surgery in early December when he was found to have a bacterial infection.

Lindsay reportedly rethinks security after Jan. 1 incident

Lindsay Lohan plans to beef up security at her Venice Beach home after a suspected trespasser landed at her doorstep, according to a news report.

Police responded to a disturbance call at the actress’ home on New Year’s Day. Lohan told police an older man had knocked on her door, asking to speak with her, KTLA-TV reported.

She asked him to leave. When he did not, she called police. The man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, according to KTLA.

Lohan now is reportedly looking to hire a bodyguard and to install new surveillance cameras, the TV station reported.

Lindsay Lohan’s alleged trespasser arrested

A bit of good news for Lindsay Lohan, whose new year didn’t start off so happily.
A man who allegedly came to the door of her Venice Beach, Calif., home on Sunday because he wanted to talk to the star, but refused to leave the premises when Lohan asked him to go away, has been arrested.
The troubled actress had called police to report the incident.
The LAPD confirmed to E! News that 64-year-old Lonnie Short was taken into custody for trespassing outside a home in Venice Beach. However, authorities could not confirm it was Lohan’s home due to their policy of not giving out information about victims.
According to Short’s booking sheet, the arrest took place at 7:25 p.m. on Sunday and he is being held on $1,000 bail.
Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, declined to comment.
