Lindsay Lohan’s father has put her through “hell”. The troubled star – who has a notoriously difficult relationship with her estranged parent Michael Lohan – revealed she was forced to grow up faster than she should have because of being in the “middle” of rows between her dad and her mother, his ex-wife Dina.

Lindsay – the eldest of Michael and Dina’s four children – explained:

“He’s put myself and my mother and my mom’s parents through so much hell. From the death threats to throwing shoes at my grandfather’s head and giving him a concussion to threatening to kill my mother in front of my little brother Dakota.

“I grew up really fast just because of the situations I was subjected to because of my father. My mom would try to shield me from that as much as possible, but I chose to get in the middle of my parents the entire life.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress – who recently spent 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence behind bars for violating the terms of her 2007 probation for a driving under the influence conviction – admitted now she feels nothing but pity for her father, as he is crying out for “attention”.

She added to Vanity Fair magazine:

“I feel sorry for him. Obviously, it shows a far cry for attention in so many ways. He’s not happy with himself. Therefore, he has to project it onto others.”

Lindsay Lohan’s mother has revealed that the actress has not yet decided on who will get her first post-jail TV interview.

Speaking to X17, Dina Lohan also said that Matt Lauer invited her back for another appearance on The Today Show.

“He wanted me to go on with him again because he felt he was a little harsh. We spoke off camera and when we went on camera the questions got convoluted,” Dina explained.

She added: “Of course I know how many times my child was in rehab. I was with her as a caring mum every step of the way. My four children are amazing, strong, loving human beings and we have endured so much!

“There will be plenty more positive interviews in the future.”

Lindsay Lohan could be sitting down for her first TV interview since leaving jail and rehab on the The Today Show.

The Mean Girls star has had ‘multiple offers’ for her first television interview since serving her sentence and the US news and talk show Today is one of the main suitors, according to TMZ.com.

Sources have told the entertainment site that the show is definitely interested in landing the interview with the troubled star and is currently trying to sign her.

While Lindsay, 24, was serving her time in rehab, her mum Dina Lohan was interviewed on Today.

Lohan recently served 13 days of a 90-day sentence in jail for breaking the conditions of her probation in a drink-driving case.

Lindsay Lohan’s car accidentally clipped a toddler in a pushchair, it has been claimed. The ‘Machete’ actress – who served 13 days in jail last month as part of a sentence for violating the terms of probation set following a 2007 driving under the influence conviction – reportedly struck the stroller on Wednesday (01.09.10) after failing to look both ways before turning down the street in her Maserati.

Witness Brayan Jaime said: “There was a woman pushing a kid in the stroller, maybe a two or three-year-old, crossing the street. Lindsay took the red light and hit the stroller. It wasn’t super hard, but she made impact and hit them. Lindsay pulled to the right, stopped for two seconds, and then just kept going.”

The 24-year-old actress – who was released from a court ordered rehab earlier this month – denied the incident had even happened.

When contacted for comment, she told website RadarOnline.com: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

However Brayan insisted the troubled ‘Mean Girls’ actress was the driver as he followed her from the scene.

He said: “I’m 100 per cent sure Lindsay was driving because I saw her with my own eyes.

“She was just driving like crazy once I started following her. She was trying to lose me, blowing stop signs and stuff. Lindsay was scared because she knew I saw what she did.”

A second witness at the scene confirmed that Lindsay was driving but said she may not have realised the incident had taken place as contact was minimal.

Lindsay Lohan found herself at the centre of a new controversy on Friday after she was accused of an alleged hit-and-run incident with a baby stroller.

Videographer Brayan Jaime claims he caught the Mean Girls star reportedly running a red traffic light in Hollywood on Wednesday and colliding with a pram being pushed by a nanny.

Jaime alleges Lohan fled the scene after the “major hit”.

But a TMZ.com photographer appears to have come to the troubled actress’ rescue, insisting Lohan didn’t break any traffic rules, and was driving so slowly she barely touched the stroller.

The photographer claims the star was travelling at “like one mile an hour”.

And, according to his conflicting report, the concerned actress immediately jumped out of her car and checked to see if the nanny and baby were harmed before driving off, satisfied that no one was hurt.

No police report had been filed as WENN went to press.

Lohan is struggling to keep her name out of the headlines – the hit-and-run allegations come just a week after she completed a jail sentence and a stint in rehab for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest.

She was also pulled over by Los Angeles police last week for failing to adhere to a stop sign – but escaped that incident with a warning.

After years of bad behavior, evaporating movie work, and a 14-day stint in jail for violating probation, Lindsay Lohan is mounting a comeback. Sort of. On Friday the former Disney child star returned to the big screen for the first time in three years, playing a drug-abusing, spoiled wild child who dons a nun’s outfit and mows down bad guys in Robert Rodriguez’s bloodfest Machete. She’s also gracing the cover of the October issue of Vanity Fair, in which she’s quoted as saying, “I want my career back.”

Machete winks heavily at Lohan’s past: between the promotional poster, featuring a habit-clad Lohan suggestively licking a massive pistol, and the outrageously self-referential subplots (we first meet Lohan’s character being rescued, barely conscious, from a drug den), the filmmakers appear eager to tap into her tabloid queen reputation.

But that’s nothing compared to Lohan’s other completed project, an appearance in Underground Comedy 2010 — a film proudly promoted as “the single most offensive movie you’ll ever see” — written, directed, financed by and starring Vince “The ShamWow Guy” Shlomi.

Shlomi, who goes by Vince Offer in the movie, is better known to late-night television viewers as the infomercial pitchman behind the super-absorbent ShamWow and the Slap Chop kitchen gadget. He has been trying to break into the movie business for a while on the strength of Underground Comedy — a collection of tasteless sketches he’s been working on since 1996 that was released briefly to horrified mainstream reviews in 1999 (The New York Times referred to the film as “wretched”).

Lohan’s segment of the film — in which she acts out a celebrity revenge fantasy, shooting up a gaggle of paparazzi while dressed like Marilyn Monroe — is tame compared to the movie’s other sketches, which include scenes of an infant being shot in a drive-by and a necrophiliac sexing it up with rotting corpses. But its very existence is a sobering reminder about how far the star of Freaky Friday and Mean Girls has fallen. Even Shlomi acknowledges he wouldn’t have had a chance to get her at the height of her game. “Ten years ago she’s doing Disney, and now she’s in the most offensive movie ever made,” he tells TIME.

Shlomi had Lohan on his wish-list for an attention-generating appearance and got his chance to make his pitch personally last May at the Cannes Film Festival, where Lindsay was photographed partying — and where she claimed her passport had been stolen, preventing her from attending a key Los Angeles court hearing.

The aspiring filmmaker and his co-producer Courtney Bingham first approached the starlet over blaring house music at a VIP nightclub. “We sent her the scripts and told her that it was gross-out comedy,” says Shlomi. “She’d done Funny or Die so she has a great sense of humor. That’s in the same vein, but our movie is a little tougher.” (Which might be putting it mildly.)

Neither side would disclose how much Lohan was paid for her appearance, although Shlomi maintains the actress was clearly interested in the payday. (“Money talks,” says Bingham.) But once the details were squared away, the biggest source of concern for Lohan was whether her court-ordered SCRAM alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet would be a problem for the shoot.

Shlomi, however, was thrilled. “It looked cool,” he says of the device Lohan was ordered to wear at a court hearing immediately after her return from Cannes. It also would bring the scene that much more publicity. Lohan even helped work it into the script, when she changed a scripted fat joke about Monroe.

“The original line was ‘Marilyn could never fit in a size zero dress.’ “says Shlomi. “But [Lindsay] was like, no I don’t want to make fun of Marilyn. What if I say, ‘Marilyn would never wear a SCRAM bracelet.’ We were like ‘yeah!’ ”

Lohan also agreed to the last minute script addition that had her pulling out a pair of handguns and happily mowing down photographers at a faux film premiere. That, combined with the visible SCRAM bracelet on her left ankle, promised instant headlines when an unrated trailer for the film was posted on the Internet in July.

“On YouTube there are nearly 850,000 views for that clip alone,” says Shlomi. “That’s more than Machete’s trailer.”

While Lohan’s official spokespeople declined to comment, some members of her camp contend there’s no such thing as bad publicity. “It’s cool to do these underground parts,” says Mike Heller, a family friend and the CEO of Talent Resources, who has brokered business deals with Lohan (but not for this movie), says “It keeps her current.”

“She’s not desperate,” he adds. “Many deals have come through this office and she’s turned them down.”

The Underground Comedy filmmakers wanted even more Lohan screen time in the film (Shlomi says he had three cashier checks totaling $350,000 ready for Lohan if she shot an additional psychologist’s office skit), but were happy enough to get her at all. “We offered her a lot more money but she only wanted to do the Marilyn character,” Shlomi said.

Though the movie appears most likely headed for a straight-to-DVD release, Shlomi hopes to either find a distribution partner or shill it to theaters himself for a late-November release. “With ShamWow, I had to become my own distributor because no one wanted it,” says the undaunted pitchman. “Out of necessity you become something you’re not expecting. It was actually a blessing.”

While Lohan is currently slated to work next on a biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace, Shlomi is counting on Underground Comedy 2010 being such a success that he may have a shot at working with her again. “I’m actually doing a romantic comedy,” he says. “And I’d love to send Lindsay a script.”

“If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a [SCRAM] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking and my father says I’m taking—so that says something, because I was fine,” Lindsay Lohan tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Nancy Jo Sales. “I think everyone has their own addictions and hopefully learns how to get past them,” she says, in an interview conducted one week before her jail time began. “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.”

Lohan was visibly upset when she spoke with Sales about Ali’s presence in the courtroom, calling it “heartbreaking” to see her sister cry. However, Lohan feels conflicted about her father’s unexpected appearance at the hearing, telling Sales, “The worst part of it is you turn around and you see your dad crying and normally you’d be, like, happy that your father’s there. But then he has to go and do an interview right after.”

Sales reports that Lohan thinks her career is far from over. “I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress. … And I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible—but that’s what growing up is. You learn from your mistakes,” she tells Sales.

Lohan adamantly denies rumors of drug abuse, telling Sales: “I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have—never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am. I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done—to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.”

Lohan blames her troubles, in part, on hanging out with the wrong crowd, Sales reports. “So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons. A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party.” And when she first moved to L.A., Lohan says, “it was very go-go-go and I had a lot of responsibility; and I think just the second I didn’t have [structure] anymore—I was 18, 19—with a ton of money and no one really here to tell me that I couldn’t do certain things … And I see where that’s gotten me now, and I don’t like it.” She says tabloids were her main source of news, and calls that “really scary and sad… I would look up to those girls… the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.”

Sales interviews several paparazzi, and reports that Lohan often cooperates with them for a fee, though Lohan denies this. “If I called her up right now and said I’ll give you $10,000, she’d come right down,” a photographer tells Sales. “Once you’re famous, there’s always a way to make money,” another photographer says. “She might not be doing what she’d like to be doing, but she’ll always be Lindsay Lohan.”

The October issue of Vanity Fair will be available on newsstands in New York and L.A. on Thursday, September 2, and nationally and on the iPad on Tuesday, September 7.

Lindsay Lohan’s car was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on Friday night (27Aug10) just days after she was allowed back on the road following a driving ban.

The Mean Girls star renewed her licence last Wednesday (25Aug10) shortly after she completed a jail sentence and a stint in rehab for breaching her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest.

She was back behind the wheel within hours of regaining her paperwork, but on Friday night the actress was given a scare when her luxury sportscar was stopped by cops.

Lohan allegedly committed a minor motoring offence of failing to adhere to a stop sign and was let off with a warning, reports TMZ.com.

Lindsay Lohan’s father has announced plans to open a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in California, days after his daughter’s release from an inpatient rehab clinic.

The Mean Girls star was jailed last month for breaching her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. She then spent 23 days in rehab.

She was discharged from UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday.

And now Michael Lohan – who has previously claimed his daughter suffers from prescription drug addiction – says he is in the process of “negotiating the location” of a holistic rehab facility, with will bar patients from resorting to prescription drugs to get over their addictions.

He says, “I’m going to have a protocol that will be have to be followed. I don’t believe in prescription drugs. If people come in on them they’re going to have to get off of them, otherwise they’ll be looking for another rehab.”

Lindsay Lohan is taking tips from Britney Spears by hiring the pop star’s accountant to get her finances back on track, according to a US report.

The Mean Girls star has endured a problematic few months, which has seen her jailed for probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest and sent to court-ordered rehab.

Lohan has also been hit with other legal issues including a lawsuit from a Los Angeles boutique over an allegedly unpaid bill, which she settled this month, and an expensive court action in which she is suing an advertising firm over claims they parodied her in a recent promo.

It has now been revealed the actress has resolved to sort out her finances by hiring Tennessee businesswoman Lou Taylor to take control of her money issues, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

Taylor previously helped Spears straighten out her own financial muddle and now she is working with Lohan to land her a series of lucrative deals.

A source tells Page Six, “Lou has been working on fashion deals for Lindsay including the Marc Ecko ads and a deal with a Russian fashion company.”
