Lindsay Lohan donates bag for charity

Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson are all auctioning their carry-on flight luggage for charity.

The stars are among 50 who have donated signed luggage – including briefcases, carry-on cases, party purses and guitar cases – to an auction by JetBlue Airways, which will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to their charity partner, DoSomething.org.

Icema Gibbs, spokesperson for the JetBlue said: ‘Celebrity baggage is some of the most intriguing, highly-coveted and photographed accessories to ever fly in and out of LAX and across our network. ‘Thanks to the generosity of these celebrities, we are excited to give everyone the opportunity to take home a piece of that magic while supporting a great cause.’

Some celebrities have attached personal things to their bags, such as Donald Trump, who is donating a signed Attache case from Zero Halliburton with two VIP tickets for this year’s Miss USA Pageant 2011 and afterparty in Las Vegas.

‘Jersey Shore’ star Pauly D is offering a signed photo, a shirt and hair gel alongside his bag. Alongside Lindsay’s bag, she is offering a poster for her film ‘Mean Girls’ and a signed My Scene Goes Hollywood Lindsay Lohan doll.

Other celebrity donors include Chelsea Handler, Jordin Sparks, Kellan Lutz, Kelly Osbourne, Rosario Dawson and Ryan Seacrest.

Bids are being accepted over two seven day auction periods, with the first set open now, and the second to open on May 30. For more information or to bid, visit www.jetblue.com/celebritybaggage.

Lohan’s mistakes teach her sister

Lindsay Lohan says her younger sister knows ‘what not to do’ through watching her.

The troubled actress – who has been to rehab three times and was recently sentenced to three years’ probation for stealing a necklace – has admitted she has made so many mistakes it has deterred her 17-year-old sibling Ali from behaving badly.

She said: ‘She’s seen a lot of stuff that I’ve experienced and she knows exactly what not to do. So she kind of knows better through watching me.’

Although she acknowledges she hasn’t made the best decisions in life, Lindsay claims that many stories about her are fake but accepts it’s all part of being famous.

She explained to Britain’s OK! magazine: ‘You want the attention and you want the fans and you want to be in magazines. But over time that kind of thing can become all it’s about. It can harm a lot of people’s careers. I’ve experienced that. People believe what they read.’

However, the ‘Mean Girls’ actress isn’t worried about Ali being tempted by Hollywood vices and once said she thinks her little sister is ‘tougher’ than her.

She said: ‘She’s tougher than I am. She has a good head on her shoulders. Maybe it was different for me because I didn’t know what to expect and it just happened really fast. I didn’t have a big sister.’

‘If I’m going out late, she’ll go home early.’

Michael Lohan pleads not guilty to attacking ex

Lindsay Lohan’s father has pleaded not guilty to attacking his ex-girlfriend during an argument earlier this year in California.

Michael Lohan entered the plea to misdemeanor domestic violence battery Monday in Beverly Hills.

He was arrested in March after his ex-girlfriend, Kate Major, accused him of abusing her and preventing her from calling police.

Michael Lohan’s attorney says his client is looking forward to resolving the case and sorting out the conflicting stories of the events that led up to his arrest. A trial is scheduled for July 5.

The Lohan family patriarch has a fractious relationship with his movie star daughter and has a history of arrests in New York after his ex-girlfriends accused him of harassment.

If convicted, the 51-year-old could spend up to a year in jail.

Lindsay to play ‘Carrie’ in remake of horror classic?

Horror fans may want to scream for all the wrong reasons at the idea of Lindsay Lohan stepping into Sissy Spacek’s blood-drenched shoes for a remake of “Carrie.”

But scare-master Steven King – who wrote the book made into the 1976 genre classic – told Entertainment Weekly’s Inside Movies blog that having Lohan cast in the title role would be frighteningly good.

“I’ve heard rumblings about a ‘Carrie’ remake, as I have about ‘The Stand’ and ‘It,’ ” King told EW.com. “Who knows if it will happen? The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not ‘Casablanca’ or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book.

“Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White … hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast.”

Not surprisingly, according to TMZ, Lohan agreed with King that she would be perfect for the role and that working one of her favorite authors “would be epic.”

“Carrie,” which was based on King’s first published novel, is the tale of a doomed high school misfit who develops telekinetic powers when she gets upset over being bullied – both by her evil mother (played by Piper Laurie) and her fellow students. Many critics consider it one of the best horror films ever made.

MGM and Screen Gems, the studios behind the remake, last week tapped “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark” playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to pen the new script. On that, Aguirre-Sacasa moonlights as a comic book writer and has adapted King’s “The Stand” for Marvel Comics.
