Lindsay Lohan: Betty Ford Center is too expensive

A judge ordered Lindsay Lohan back to rehab, as opposed to spending more time in jail, on Friday, but now the troubled star, 24, claims she cannot afford treatment.

Lohan’s probation report indicates that she may not be able to afford staying at the pricey facility. She has spent the past three weeks at the facility at her own will, and the court ordered her to remain there at least until after the first of January. According to People, a 90 day stay at the Betty Ford Center costs around $53,000.

“She indicates she can not afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work,” says the report, according to People Magazine. “[Lohan says] her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product.”

However, a source tells People that Lohan has been working on her 6126 clothing line while she has been in rehab.

“Lindsay is still seeing income from the line, and it’s doing three times better than originally expected,” the source says. “It’s keeping her busy and productive.”

The report further states that staying longer in treatment can ruin her career. Her latest film, “Inferno” was set to begin filming in November.

Dr. Lee Sadja dealt with Lohan during her stay at the UCLA Medical Center, also made advisements to Lohan in the report. “There was some denial regarding her drug addiction. [She] needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life.”
