Lohan in denial about jail stint; must surrender tomorrow

Lindsay Lohan is in denial about going to jail and is hoping for a last minute reprieve to avoid a 90-day sentence for violating the probation terms of her 2007 drug and alcohol case, U.S. entertainment website TMZ reported Monday.

Lohan, 24, is due to begin a 90-day stint in jail on Tuesday after a Los Angeles court handed down the hefty sentence to the “Mean Girls” star earlier this month.

The court ordered Lohan to spend 90 days in a jail, followed by a further 90 days in rehab. But sources told TMZ Lohan was in denial over her impending surrender to authorities.

“Lindsay is convinced there is still a way she can avoid jail, even though Shapiro made it clear he would only rep her if she went to the pokey,” TMZ reported.

Lohan hired U.S. attorney Robert Shapiro last week in a last-minute bid to escape her jail sentence. But Shapiro — a member of the defense team in the murder trial of O. J. Simpson — reportedly agreed to represent Lohan only on the condition that she served her jail sentence. Lohan entered a U.S. rehabilitation facility on July 14.

Lindsay Lohan checks into ‘Sober Living Home’

In perhaps a last-minute attempt to avoid jail, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan secretly checked into a sober living home founded by famed Los Angeles attorney Robert Shapiro, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Lohan arrived at Pickford Lofts in West Hollywood, California around 3:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday, and managed to slip inside without cameras catching her.

Later Wednesday night, RadarOnline.com captured video of Lindsay’s on-again-off-again girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson outside the home. She visited with LiLo for about a half an hour before leaving to pick up some groceries and extra pillows for the Mean Girls star.

Lindsay’s mother, Dina, arrived at Pickford Lofts around Midnight, and didn’t answer any questions as she entered the home with another woman. Lindsay’s little sister Ali also showed up.

Then, around 1 a.m. Thursday, long after Sam had left, Lindsay’s other rumored gal pal, Israeli military vet Eilat Anschel, also visited her at Pickford Lofts.

In its website, Pickford Lofts is described as a facility which “strives to offer a safe haven so that those in all stages of recovery can develop skills that will aid them in their journey of sobriety.” It was founded by Shapiro after he lost his son Brent to substance abuse.

“Why is that I had to cry from the mountain for Lindsay to listen to me, and now finally she is doing what I said?” Michael Lohan said, reacting to the news. “I was telling Dina and Lindsay this privately for years now.

I just pray that they implement everything else I said, like getting clean off ALL meds, asking the court to go to rehab first and then reevaluate Lindsay’s incarceration, cleaning house and picking ALL new Friends and management, and FINALLY that DINA put her motives aside and she go to counseling with Lindsay and me. I think Mr Shapiro will agree with my suggestions, since unfortunately, he has been down this road as
well.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Shapiro – who’s now working with Lindsay – might be making a desperate bid to keep Lindsay out of jail, but the prosecutor handling the case, Danette Meyers, tells RadarOnline.com he shouldn’t waste his time.

“It’s a really a moot point to ask Judge Revel to send Ms. Lohan to rehab only as Judge Revel has already sentenced her,” Meyers told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

We’ve learned that Shapiro, who’s part of the legal ‘Dream Team’ which represented OJ Simpson at his murder trial, will ask the judge to place the Mean Girls star in a rehab facility instead of sending her to the slammer.

But warned Meyers, “Ms. Lohan is going to jail… Judge Revel could have sentenced her to more time behind bars, but she didn’t.

“The only issue to be decided is what rehabilitation facility Ms. Lohan will be sent to after she serves her jail time.”

Shawn Chapman Holley, the former lawyer for Lohan, quit after the actress was sentenced to 90 days in prison followed by 90 days in rehab for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 driving while intoxicated case.

Chapman Holley quit after learning that Lohan was shopping for a new lawyer.

Unless Shapiro is able to somehow successfully appeal her sentence, keep LiLo out of jail, Lohan is expected to turn herself in next Tuesday, July 20 to begin serving her sentence.

Meyers told RadarOnline.com she plans on personally being in the courtroom when Lindsay turns herself in.

Calls to Shapiro seeking comment weren’t immediately returned.

Lohan hires O.J. Simpson lawyer

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly hired top Hollywood lawyer Robert Shapiro to help her avoid prison. Shapiro was an early member of Simpson’s team, which included the late Johnnie Cochran, that successfully defended the Hall of Famer against charges that he murdered his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Shapiro did not immediately return requests for comment.

According to TMZ, Shapiro will try to convince Judge Marsha Revel to either eliminate or minimize her 90-day jail sentence, followed by 90 days in rehab. Lohan is scheduled to turn herself in Tuesday to begin serving her sentence.

But Shapiro may have another motive in taking the case. After his son Brent died of a drug overdose in 2005, Shapiro started the “The Brent Shapiro Foundation” to raise drug awareness.

With his experience with rehab facilities, Shapiro will likely try to convince Revel that Lohan needs rehab not jail. Sources tell TMZ that he has a specific place in mind — a live-in facility that he has connections to.

Lohan has made it clear that she is not going to jail and has said the only mistake she made was hiring the wrong lawyer. Her previous attorney Shawn Chapman Holley reportedly quit after Lohan vowed to appeal her sentence.

Danette Meyers, the prosecutor handling the case, told Radar Online that Lohan shouldn’t even bother.

“It’s a really a moot point to ask Judge Revel to send Ms. Lohan to rehab only as Judge Revel has already sentenced her,” Meyers told the website.

“Ms. Lohan is going to jail,” she said. “The only issue to be decided is what rehabilitation facility Ms. Lohan will be sent to after she serves her jail time.”

Since her sentencing, Lohan has leaked a song about her troubled life and scrapped with comedian Joan Rivers.

Last week, the 77-year-old comedian mocked Lohan’s knowledge of the legal system (“Lindsay Lohan said she wouldn’t mind being under oath because she thought Oath was a Norwegian ski instructor”) and joked about her hard-partying habits (“I was just reading about the new Lindsay Lohan diet, which is all liquid. 80 Proof”).

Lindsay Lohan: ‘I’ll Kill Myself Before I Go To Jail!’

Lindsay is threatening to end her life if she has to carry out her 90 day jail sentence! Her entire family is so worried that they have Lindsay on a 24 hour suicide watch!

Lindsay Lohan would rather kill herself than be locked away in jail. The 24-year-old actress is reportedly so upset over the 90 day jail sentence looming over her since July 6, that she’s threatening to take her own life.

“She just kept repeating, ‘I can’t go to jail,’ and, ‘I’ll kill myself first,’” a source tells Star magazine. “She’s mentally unstable and getting worse.”

After Lindsay’s discovered she’d be serving time at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., Star reports she went home and broke everything in sight.

“She ran around breaking mirrors, cutting herself and rambling like a lunatic. She tore her house apart before she finally just broke down,” reveals a source. “Lindsay’s on a 24/7 suicide watch, it’s so bad. She isn’t doing well with this.”

Not only is Lindsay going around saying she wants to kill herself but she’s taking a lethal dose of prescription drugs.

“She has been doctor shopping across the country,” she says. “She is utterly unable to control her use of any mind-altering substance.”

Too young to die

A new song by Lindsay Lohan entitled “Too Young To Die” has recently hit the Web. This disturbing-named track comes after the sentence against Lohan to spend 90 days in jail, followed by 90 days in an in-patient treatment program due to violeting her DUI probation. The new recording was produced by JR Rotem and penned by Lolene.
Too Young To Die” is a dark-ish song with meaningful/deep lyrics, kinda proving Lindsay is looking to show some maturity in her new music. Ms Lohan tweeted earlier this year her intention to put out a new album in a near future, having already recorded a bunch of new material, that even started to leak like “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”, with Lindsay commenting she didn’t want more songs to go to waste and said she wanted to make a videoclip for this song.

Too Young To Die lyrics
I knew I was in trouble from the moment I laid eyes on you (yeah)
Dangerously, I can feel the chemistry around the room (ohh)
Something deep inside told me to think twice, I knew (yeah)
But I went ahead what a stupid thing to do
Now i’m in trouble, yeah, yeah

Hit by a train, falling from a building, heartbreak from you would be like drinking deadly poison
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)
Crashing my car, coming flying through the windshield
Falling in love wit you, i’m heading to get me kill
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)

I could see you coming like a weather warning on the news (like a twister)
Like a venus flytrap, I’m drawn so please be careful, I bruise.
If you were in my place, would you turn and walk away, be through
I’m must be outta my mind and you could do some time, it’s true

Hit by a train, falling from a building, heartbreak from you would be like drinking deadly poison
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)
Crashing my car, coming flying through the windshield
Falling in love wit you, i’m heading to get me kill
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)

I don’t wanna die this way
Get caught in the middle and for just a little, my heart would break
I’m just another victim of love (victim of love), everytime I love (ohh)

Hit by a train, falling from a building, heartbreak from you would be like drinking deadly poison
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)
Crashing my car, coming flying through the windshield
Falling in love wit you, i’m heading to get me kill
I’m… Oh, I’m too young to die (I don’t want to die, no)
